With DuitNow on UOB Personal Internet Banking (PIB) and UOBTMRW (mobile banking), you can receive money instantly and directly into your account. To enjoy this convenience, register for a DuitNow ID using your mobile number or NRIC number and link it with your UOB account number. DuitNow also allows you to send money to both UOB and other banks’ account holders using only their mobile numbers, if the recipient has signed up for a DuitNow ID. Login to UOBTMRW and select “DuitNow”

Enter DuitNow fund transfer details. Click ‘Next’ and follow the on-screen instructions. You will receive
an OTP on your mobile for verification.*

* For DuitNow ID (Mobile Number), ensure thatthe country code is added in front of the mobile number. Eg. “601XXXXXXXX” for Malaysian mobile number.

What is DuitNow?

DuitNow is a real-time online fund transfer service which allows payment to be addressed to an ID called DuitNow ID. With DuitNow on UOB Personal Internet Banking and UOBTMRW (mobile banking), you can receive money instantly and directly into your account via your mobile number, NRIC or passport number, army or police number, or business registration number.

What is DuitNow ID?

It is an identifier of an account holder such as a mobile number, NRIC or passport number, army or police number, or business registration number which can be linked to your bank account to receive funds via DuitNow service. You may link more than one DuitNow ID to the same bank account number but a particular DuitNow ID can only be linked to one account at any one time.

If my DuitNow ID is currently linked to a non UOB/other bank account, can I switch it to link with my UOB account?

Yes. You can switch to link your DuitNow ID with your UOB account via UOB Personal Internet Banking / UOB TMRW. You may refer to the step-by-step guide here.

How do I register for a DuitNow ID and link to my UOB Current/Savings Account?

You can register for a DuitNow ID using UOB Personal Internet Banking / UOB TMRW. You may refer to the step-by-step guide here.

Can I link my UOB Joint Account to my DuitNow ID?

You can link it to your Joint Account provided that the Joint Account mandate is for any one Account holder to deal with the Joint Account (including but not limited to withdrawals, instructions (whether oral, written or otherwise) and closure of the Joint Account).

Who can use DuitNow?

Customers of any DuitNow participating banks can use the service. For the list of participating banks, kindly visit PayNetwebsite for more details.

What is the maximum transfer limit for DuitNow?

The daily maximum transaction limit for DuitNow is RM50,000. However, you can login to PIB/UOBTMRW to set your preferred daily maximum transfer limit (up to RM50,000).

Can I use DuitNow to transfer money to a bank account overseas?

No. DuitNow fund transfer service is only applicable locally between participating banks.

Can I use DuitNow to transfer to any mobile number?

You can only transfer to recipients who have registered their mobile numbers as DuitNow ID.

How will I know if my fund transfer via DuitNow is successful?

You will receive an acknowledgement via SMS when the DuitNow fund transfer is successful. Alternatively, you may check the status of your fund transfer transaction history through My Activity, accessible via PIB/UOB TMRW.

Will there be charges if I use DuitNow?

All transaction fees for DuitNow will be waived until 31 December 2023*. For more information, please click here.

*Subject to maximum daily limit of RM50,000.

How do I know if I am sending to the correct recipient using DuitNow?

Before you are asked to confirm the transfer, the recipient’s name will be displayed for verification.

Why do I encounter the error “The DuitNow ID entered is not valid” when I try to transfer fund to a mobile number which has been registered as DuitNow ID?

Ensure that the country code is added in front of the mobile number. Eg. “601XXXXXXX” for Malaysian mobile number.

Can I deactivate or deregister my DuitNow ID?

Yes. You can deactivate or deregister your DuitNow ID which is currently linked to your UOB account in UOB Personal Internet Banking or UOB TMRW. To deactivate or deregister:

• Login to Personal Internet Banking
• On the left menu, select “Account Services”
• Under the drop-down list, select “Manage DuitNow”
• Click deactivate or delete DuitNow ID

UOBTMRW

• Login to UOBTMRW
• On the left menu, select “Manage DuitNow”
• Swipe left and click deactivate or delete DuitNow ID
